Patrol Division

The Patrol Division is responsible for the protection of life and property, and the enforcement of federal, state and county laws and ordinances. The patrol function involves the prevention and intervention of adult and juvenile crime, rendering assistance to citizens in need of service, apprehension of law violators, and traffic enforcement. Patrol responds to calls for service as dispatched, and prepares reports on action taken or other documentation, for use in record keeping and prosecution purposes. The Forest County Sheriff's Office has 20 sworn full-time Deputies. The Staff consist of the Sheriff, Chief Deputy, Captain, Lieutenant, 2 Patrol Sergeants, 4 Detective Sergeants that are assiged to the Drug Investigations Unit, School Liaison Officer, Recreational Deputy, Youth Prevention Officer and 9 Patrol Deputies. Dispatch Division

The Forest County Sheriff's Office Dispatch division has a multifaceted role, each with their specific function but all have an underlying purpose - the efficient exchange of information in the interest of public safety. The Dispatch Center receives and processes all E-911 Emergency calls for Forest County. In addition to emergency calls, numerous routine service calls and administrative calls are received and processed for not only the Sheriff's Office, but also for all police, fire and EMS agencies located in Forest County. The Forest County Sheriff's Office operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The staff consists of a Jail Administrator, 4 Corporals and 14 Jailer/Dispatchers. Corrections Division

The Forest County Sheriff Jail/Corrections Division maintains an 80 bed facility that was completed in 1997. In addition to housing our own inmates, the Forest County Jail houses inmates from Oconto County. Part-time Personnel

The Forest County Sheriff's Office has several part-time employees which consist of Jailers/Dispatchers and sworn Patrol Deputies. The part-time staff performs the same job functions as the full-time staff and are mainly utilized during peak activity on weekends, holidays and to fill shifts such as vacations and request for personal time off.
